Mark Brown

Mark Brown is an American astronaut who was born on November 18, 1951 in Indiana. Before he became an astronaut, Brown was a pilot for the Air Force.

Brown became an astronaut in 1985. He has spent 249 hours in space during two missions.

In 1989, Brown flew aboard STS-28 in a Department of Defense mission. In 1991, Brown helped put a research satellite into space.
