Ronald Evans

Ronald Evans was an American astronaut who was born on November 10, 1933, in Kansas. Before he became an astronaut, Ronald Evans was a fighter pilot in the Vietnam War.

Ronald Evans became an astronaut in 1966. He has spent over 300 hours in space on one spaceflight.

In 1972, Evans flew aboard Apollo 17. This mission was the last manned flight to the moon. Evans orbited the moon while his fellow crewmates explored its surface.
