Blaine Hammond

Blaine Hammond is an American astronaut who was born on January 16, 1952, in Georgia. Before he became an astronaut, Hammond was an Air Force pilot.

Hammond became an astronaut in 1985. He has spent over 462 hours in space on two spaceflights.

Hammond made his first spaceflight in 1991 aboard STS-39. This was a Department of Defense mission. In 1994, he flew aboard STS-64.
