Richard Hieb

Richard Hieb is an American astronaut who was born on September 21, 1955, in North Dakota.

Hieb became an astronaut in 1985. He spent over 750 hours in space on three spaceflights.

In 1991, Hieb made his first spaceflight aboard STS-39. He flew aboard STS-49 in 1992. Hieb performed three spacewalks totalling 17 hours during this mission. Hieb made his third flight aboard STS-65 in 1994.
