Donald McMonagle

Donald McMonagle is an American astronaut who was born on May 14, 1952, in Michigan. Before he became an astronaut, McMonagle was a pilot.

McMonagle became an astronaut in 1988. He has spent over 605 hours in space on three spaceflights.

McMonagle made his first spaceflight aboard STS-39 in 1991. In 1993, he served as pilot of STS-54.

McMonagle's last flight occured in 1994 as commander of STS-66. The crew studied the Earth during this mission.
