Stephen Jay Gould

Stephen Jay Gould was an American biologist who was born in 1941. He revised Darwin's theory of evolution, showing that it isn't the gradual process everyone had thought.

Gould was a professor at Harvard University until he died May 20, 2002. He also wrote many books which bring the concepts of biology and evolution to the general public.

Stephen Jay Gould was an American paleontologist who was born in 1941. He revised Darwin's theory of evolution, introducing his own concept of punctuated equilibrium. This states that evolution is not a gradual process but, rather, has static periods followed by brief bursts of change.

Gould was a professor at Harvard University until he died May 20, 2002. He also wrote many books which bring the concepts of biology and evolution to the general public.
