The Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE) was launched at 10:39 a.m., August 25, 1997.

The ACE was launched aboard a Delta II rocket. Mission lifetime is expected to be five years for the overall mission.

The Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE) was launched at 10:39 a.m., August 25, 1997.

The ACE was launched aboard a Delta II rocket. Mission lifetime is expected to be two years for the primary mission with an expected three year secondary phase.

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab provided launch operations support while NASA Goddard is providing ground system support.
