So there you have it.
Stars are born in dust clouds, redden and swell as they get older. Then end their lives in incredible explosions leaving behind bizarre objects.
The sun is a star, so how long will it last? Not to worry ... the sun will continue to give us heat and light for another 5 billion years. That is longer than you can imagine.
