John Fabian

John Fabian was an American astronaut who was born on January 28, 1939, in Texas. Before he became an astronaut, Fabian was a fighter pilot in the Vietnam War. He has logged over 4000 hours of flight time.

Fabian became an astronaut in 1979. He has spent over 317 hours in space on two spaceflights.

In 1983, Fabian made his first spaceflight aboard STS-7. In 1985, Fabian flew aboard Mission 51-G. During both missions, communications satellites were deployed.
