Bertalan Farkas
Bertalan Farkas is a cosmonaut who was born on August 2, 1949, in Hungary.
Before he became a cosmonaut, Farkas was an air force pilot.
Farkas became a cosmonaut in 1978. He became the first Hungarian in
space when he flew aboard Soyuz 36 in 1980. The crew spent eight days
aboard the Salyut 6 space station.
