Linda Godwin

Linda Godwin is an American astronaut who was born on July 2, 1952, in Missouri. Before she became an astronaut, Godwin worked as a physicist.

Godwin became an astronaut in 1986. She has spent over 633 hours in space on three spaceflights.

In 1991, Godwin flew aboard STS-37. The crew deployed the Gamma Ray Observatory during this mission. Godwin made her second spaceflight in 1994 aboard STS-59. The crew measured gas amounts of the Earth's atmosphere.

Godwin flew aboard STS-76 in 1996. She performed a 6-hour spacewalk during this mission.
