William McArthur

William McArthur is an American astronaut who was born on July 26, 1951, in North Carolina. Before he became an astronaut, McArthur was a pilot.

McArthur became an astronaut in 1991. He has spent over 532 hours in space aboard two spaceflights.

In 1993, McArthur flew aboard STS-58. McArthur made his second flight aboard STS-74 in 1995. The shuttle docked with the Russian Mir Space Station for eight days.
