Stuart Roosa

Stuart Roosa was an American astronaut who was born on August 16, 1933, in Colorado. Before he became an astronaut, Roosa was an Air Force pilot.

Roosa became an astronaut in 1966. He has spent over 217 hours in space on one spaceflight. In 1971, Roosa flew aboard Apollo 14. Roosa piloted the command module while the rest of the crew explored the lunar surface.
