Vladimir Solovyov is a cosmonaut who was born on November 11, 1946, in Moscow.
Solovyov became a cosmonaut in 1978. He has spent over 352 days in space on two spaceflights. In 1984, Solovyov flew aboard Salyut 7. The crew spent 10 months performing numerous medical and space manufacturing experiments.
In 1986, Solovyov made his second flight aboard Soyuz T-15. The crew activated the new Mir space station.
