Boris Volynov

Boris Volynov is a cosmonaut who was born on December 18, 1934, in Irhutsk, Siberia.

Volynov became a cosmonaut in 1960. He has spent over 52 days in space on two spaceflights. In 1969, Volynov flew aboard Soyuz 5. The crew docked with the Soyuz 4 and two members transferred over to Soyuz 4. Volynov made a second flight aboard the Salyut 5 space station. He spent 48 days doing military work.
