The structure of Newgrange is really neat! It has a really long passageway that leads to a big chamber. And there is a roof box that lets light in. Around the time of midwinter, light comes through the roof box and goes all the way down to the central chamber. It lights up the whole central chamber! Now, that didn't happen by accident!

It just goes to show that these ancient people of 5,000 years ago knew about the Sun's movements.
